I was looking forward to spend time with the kids on one of the weekend because it was Aareez birthday. Usually, we will bring them to retreat or going to the zoo. But this time due to budget constraint, it was quite hard for us to go for a retreat. Then the idea to bring them to cooking class came into my mind when the kids always like to help in the kitchen. Thus, I want them to experience real cooking utensils rather than playing toys kitchen.
Let me share how I came across this place....
Before I returned to work as executive in my current company, I was a part time baker who assisting a baker cum teacher in her baking class (Curriculum) in one of Mont Kiara School. The kids as young as 6 years old are their participants. They are not only learn how to cook but they also learn how to measure and being exposed to actual ingredients. Then, I was happened to know there is cooking class for kids out there because I saw one of my student in Mont Kiara wearing an apron embroider their name and the academy. Later after that, I did some searching for that class in the website. I managed to get their location and what they offers.
Since Aareez has turned 4 this year, he has able to join most of activities or classes for kids with his sister. That is why I have plan to bring both of them to kids cooking class in Ikano - Young Chef Academy, Damansara. One session (on the go class) is RM85. I would not comment much on the price because I just want my kids to enjoy and learn new things and skills. Parents, if you have the money, please do consider this.
To end my write up today, if you are looking activity for your kids during the weekend or you wanted to look for weekday class, you can opt for this. But, before you plan to go, you need to go their website to check their timetable and menu of the day. So you can plan what time you need to arrive before the class start. For more information, please check their website.
