Singapore Trip 2020

Another trip to Singapore this year because we have received wedding invitation from brother in law family in Singapore. We almost cancelled our trip because of the COVID 19 outbreak whole over the world and especially Singapore where the earlier spread from. When the outbreak in Singapore increased day by day which I have made out my mind to cancel my hotel booking but I could not done so because I cannot get refund due to website policy. So we decided to proceed but to cancel our visit to some places of interest. Just to let you know, my visit to Singapore was around 3 weeks ago when I am typing this.  Preparation: 1. Currency: Before the outbreak getting serious, SGD selling price was 3.02. When the number of cases increased, SGD selling prices was drop to 2.99 during that time and now due to political issue in Malaysia, SGD selling price return back to 3.02. (Rezeki kami lah dapat beli dgn harga rendah). 2. Accommodation: Joo Chiat area.  3. White ca...

Change Maker Program

Last Sunday, I was attending a program called YSEALI Boot Camp at UiTM Shah Alam. They actually have started this boot camp at few other places for this year and Shah Alam is the last 3 places they have organized. If you happened to read this and would like to know more about it, you can try to google and enroll their phase 1 boot camp which I have attended earlier. But, this write up is not to talk about this program but actually what I felt after this program. Frankly speaking,  it is really an eye opening program for me and I have gained so much knowledge from all the participants that day. They were really great and amazing. Most importantly the energy they projected out was really positive and that has made the event so much fun and enjoyable. In this event, they have invited speaker guests from a political organization which they shared their journey to achieve their caused. It is very inspirational sharing. Some might think that they have political agenda and ...

Weekend Activity for Kids: Cooking Class

I was looking forward to spend time with the kids on one of the weekend because it was Aareez birthday. Usually, we will bring them to retreat or going to the zoo. But this time due to budget constraint, it was quite hard for us to go for a retreat. Then the idea to bring them to cooking class came into my mind when the kids always like to help in the kitchen. Thus, I want them to experience real  cooking utensils rather than playing toys kitchen. Let me share how I came across this place.... Before I returned to work as executive in my current company, I was a part time baker who assisting a baker cum teacher in her baking class (Curriculum) in one of Mont Kiara School. The kids as young as 6 years old are their participants. They are not only learn how to cook but they also learn how to measure and being exposed to actual ingredients. Then, I was happened to know there is cooking class for kids out there because I saw one of my student in Mont Kiara wearing an apron embr...

Comforting Yourself by Gratitude - Pujuk Hati 2.0

After my last write up, I have went through my last year topic and I found that I did shared  almost the same topics and how I have successfully overcame it. Guess what? It is just the same process. The key point is always sabar (patience), grateful and keep on praying. Does not matter how hard your test from Allah swt is, if you patiently waiting and keep on praying, grateful what you have now. InsyaAllah you will found your way. What I want to share today is about recent payout bonus given by my company. Usually my company will distribute bonus before Chinese New Year. Same goes this year, staff getting their bonus days before CNY. When the day come, everyone nervously checking their bank account and they saw the amount they received lesser than previous year. Most of the staff started to complaint why they get lesser than last year and some demotivate to work. Why this is happening? Expectation vs reality - the reason the staff is so frustrated. We expect getting the ...

My Down Time 2.0

Few weeks ago, I was being temporary transferred to other site located in KL. That particular site is one of the most challenging site because of the client is quite demanding.  Most of my friends and colleague were really unsupported about it including my partner. They were really shocked and not happy for it. They started to give negative comments on the situation and it has worsened my mood which I was not in  a good state of mind. The instruction from the head is clear - I must go there next week (short notice). Let me explain on my position in my company, I am not attached to any site with client at that time. Management has agreed to release me from my previous site that time and has appointed my other colleague to supervise my previous site. So I will be focusing on 'company' property rather than client property.  My new manager that time informed me that they will release me once they get new staff. They have managed to hire a new staff which he is se...

My Father Birthday 17012020

We are not used to. Disebabkan dia selalu biarkan kami uruskan sendiri urusan kami. Aku suka travel. Sebab dia selalu bawak jalan-jalan setahun sekali. Aku boleh travel tanpa guna tour guide or tempah khas van persiaran. Sebab dia nak jimat kos, kami pernah jalan kaki di KL dari 1 tempat ke 1 tempat. Jadi, kadang-kadang aku nak jimat ko...
